Marsha Bryant professionally known as ‘Poni’ is a female Rapper and songwriter from London, United Kingdom. She is an outgoing and good-humoured artist who is enthusiastic with a real passion and love for music. With her great talent, work ethic and finesse, this London city girl sparked attention from the streets that escalated for her to work with Grammy Award winning, international Hit Makers in the world and some of Hip-Hop’s finest in the UK, Europe and the USA. The first Grammy Award winning Producer she recorded with is Mr Porter, ‘Kon Artis’ of D12 (Eminem & 50Cent producer) this was in Detroit, USA. She later recorded with Darius Harrison ‘Deezle’ who has also produced for Lil Wayne (including ‘Lollipop’ and ‘Mrs Officer’), E Bass, Kookie from Norway, UK’s Taz (who produced for Dizzee Rascal) plus many more. Some of her major collaborations include a song called “Easy Money” with Lil Wayne released on his Public Enemy mixtape, Chopper (from P.Diddys ‘Making the Band’), and Kanye West & Kylie Minogue Producer Tommy D on BBC 3 TV show called ‘Singing With The Enemy’.
Given the name Poni because she can “Ride Over Any Rhythm”. Her style of Music is Hip Hop, with catchy and tantalising beats, she poses a creative difference. She maintains her British accent, her music also fuses into the pop and reggae markets but at the same time maintains the recognition that it is ‘Poni’ on the track! Her songs are filled with creative innovative concepts which are distinctive, thought provoking & also exciting, she set to be launched internationally!
At the tender age of 8, Poni was invited to perform to the hugely successful legendary group called “Five Star”, she has since been a Rising Star. Music has been the love of her life, she spent the majority of her time as a child and teenager rapping, writing songs and playing Instruments. Being the Organ from the age of 4 and the Flute from the age of 10. At the age of 14 she went on to be the only female artist in a 7 man Rap Group called ‘Dark Foundation’ from the streets of Hackney, East London, and this is when she was named ‘Poni’ and spent a lot of time further nurturing her Rap skills, in the studio, at shows, song writing and doing battle raps/cyphers.

She has recorded Albums, shoot many Music Videos which have been gathering pace internationally on cable networks in the UK, USA and Europe including BET TV. Her first music videos were for her songs called “Sit & Cry” & “Sharp” which were infamous on Channel AKA and there have been several since. For 2016 Poni’s Single ‘Queen’ By DJ Roots Queen Ft Poni & Dreggae is being released by ZayTownUSA (Owner is Superstar Producer Zaytoven (Future, Gucci Mane, Jeezy)). Her second Single is called and ‘Bet A 20’ which is a Hip Hop Trap Record with a British flavour. Her Music is getting tremendous support from movers and shakers in the industry and a lot of support from Coalition DJs, Fleet DJs, Digital Dope, Table Mannerz, Mp3 Waxx, Greenhitz USA, plus much more
Poni has done numerous Radio tours and Shows in the UK & USA. Poni’s radio tours have included interviews on BBC London Radio Station & with DJ Tim Westwood. Poni has had the pleasure of performing phenomenal sets at many events. This includes London Fashion Week where she closed the catwalk show hosted by Yes Fashion, Performance at “Queens Of The Pack” & Hip Hop Nation. Some past performances include the Mayor of London’s ‘Rise Festival’ where other artists were Common and The Wailers. Earlier in her career she performed as a support act for Dru Hill, ATL, Mos Def ‘Rock Da Bells’ Tour, after party, in France, performances at Deal Real, London …”One of the most important places to be seen and heard” (Evening Standard National Newspaper). In the USA she has performed at ‘Live’ venue, Staten Island, New York, NY with Singer Martina Bruno & New York University plus many more clubs and venues .
Poni is also an actress and won a Clive Dailey ‘Best Actor 2008’ Award. She has been featured on Channel 4 (UK National TV) Music Series called ‘Musicool’ (Part 1 & 2) where she worked with some of entertainments finest including Michael Jackson, Britney Spears & Prince Choreographer Sean Cheeseman. She was an extra in the ‘Notorious’ movie about Biggie Smalls life. In February 2013 she was filmed as part of award winning family sitcom “All About The McKenzies” Season 2 Episode 1.
